As part of the Almaty–Bishkek Economic Corridor, the seventh meeting of the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyz Joint Working Group on Transport and Infrastructure Development took place. The joint meeting was held on November 3 in Bishkek. During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including a public-private partnership (PPP) project of special significance — the construction of the “Almaty–Issyk-Kul” highway, which is planned to be implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank. The event was attended by representatives of government bodies of both countries, PPP centers, as well as representatives of the Asian Development Bank. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation and support joint initiatives within the framework of the economic corridor. Thus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are making a significant contribution to the development of the transport corridor and the strengthening of infrastructure cooperation. It is worth noting that the construction of the “Almaty–Issyk-Kul” highway is one of the projects of special significance being developed jointly with international financial institutions.
