HISTORY
JSC “Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership” was established to implement the functions of public administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of mobilization of financial, managerial, technological, physical and other resources for their use in solving the problems of state investment policy in various sectors of the economy. In the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 17, 2008 No. 693 “On the establishment of a specialized organization for the coordination of concessions”, as well as in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2015 No. 1056, the Center is defined as the management body of public-private partnership with implementation of activities in the field of public-private partnership. The sole shareholder of the Center is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Our mission is to participate in the selection of an integral and massive national economy, consisting in the selection of state investment policy, methodological support and replication of the best sustainable PPP practices that take into account the balance of interests of states and business.
2006
The Law “On Concessions” was adopted (3 major infrastructure projects).
2008
In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 17, 2008 No. 693 “On the establishment of a specialized organization for concession issues”, as well as in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2015 No. 1056, the Center is designated as a body for the development of public-private partnership with the purpose of carrying out activities in the field of public-private partnership.

The first PPP Investment Forum was dedicated to the Day of Adoption of the Law “On Public-Private Partnership” in the Republic of Kazakhstan (October 31, 2015) and brought together a wide range of investors, representatives of international organizations, local and central government bodies. The forum was a platform for dialogue between delegates on topical issues of PPP development and investing in Kazakhstani projects, strengthening long-term cooperation and joint project planning, partnerships to create value, quality and accessibility of services for people. During the forum, bilateral meetings were organized between delegations to share visions and project plans and promote B2B, B2G, G2G cooperation. Also, within the framework of the forum, a number of seminars and master classes were held to share knowledge, experience and best practices in the field of PPP

The Second International Forum “PPP in the Face of the Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities”, which took place on October 15, 2020 in an online format, has become an international platform for effective communication between government officials, business and the expert community to discuss trends in the implementation of PPP, search for solutions to current problems , as well as opportunities for further development of the mechanism. In addition, the Forum hosted the Fourth Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Finance and PPP Network, organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Kazakhstan PPP Center

with technical support from the EBRD and ADB to strengthen the capacity of the PPP Center, 38 specialists from Kazakhstan were awarded international certification in the field of PPP CP3P
